Snapshot Sunday

Thought I'd try something new, so I'm debuting Snapshot Sunday. I'm not really creative with names. What I'll do is walk through my life at the moment - wherever I am, whatever I'm doing and take five snapshots. No people, no arranging, no cleaning up. Sometimes captions, sometimes not. "This is my life. Right now."

Let me know if you like it, dislike it, or if it's 'meh'. Good time to de-lurk. *wink*

Let's begin, shall we?

The hitching post/parking lot/doorway.

Pizza dough rising by the fire.

I love the idea of seeing snapshots of other's lives. Not enough to feel intrusive, just enough to feel a mom-to-mom connection. "I have hangers hanging in strange places too" type connections. If you start this, let me know and I'll link to you next Sunday.

I'm going to try to do that next week, too. Anything to feel more normal about my clutter :)

It makes me feel secretly happy to see other messy houses, knowing that I'm not the only one. I like to drop in on friends and catch them in a mess. It makes me feel better about my life!! :O) Call me crazy...

(I'm not saying your house is messy...I was especially laughing at the hanger pic...they always are in the strangest places!)

Yay, Steph! Loved your photos.

Jill, of course you can play! The rules are simple. Five photos of your life at any given moment. No people, no arranging, no cleaning up. It doesn't need to be pictures of a mess - probably the majority of them won't be, it's just that sometimes the mess *is* what our life is at the moment. Close-ups, far away shots, blurry, whatever floats your boat - walk around your life and snap five pictures of whatever you feel defines your life at the moment. Then post them and link back to here so that I'll know to link to you.

Annie, I'll try to remember to remind you. lol

Cat creek, let me know if you end up doing it - I'd love to see it!

Michelle, sometimes you can feel like you're the only one with a messy house, huh? I end up trying to find beauty in the mess - like those purple fuzzies with the plastic moths right beside them. It doesn't always work, but when it does, I feel better about it. lol

Ok! What a way to get over the idea that everything must be perfect for all to see... that's me! I shall try to remmeber to try this out.....sigh.. I have so much ego about letting others see into my world especially if I don't feel like it's up to par.. I'm exhaling...exhaling and trying to let go... Happy Inspirational Monday!

I think this is a fabulous idea. I was just talking to a dear friend about the fact that I feel as those I'll forever live in clutter (of one sort or another). I'd love to join you all. Very Liberating!!! I'll add my shots on Sunday!

I love the idea of Snapshot Sunday, and would love to join in - but I'm not sure that I could take five photos around my house without getting people in them (too many people here, perhaps? - and the number is about to increase). Can I join in with my own version of the rules?

Deb, you can have people in it. The main idea behind it is to connect with other women about real life in your house. If real life in your house means a person in the picture, that's what it means. I'd love to see your snapshots! Let me know when you post and I'll add you to that Sunday's post.
