What food independence looks like in our house.

For my RUN group -

Earlier this evening, I could have snapped a picture of Ains eating peaches beside Hannah who was eating an ice cream cone and a bowl of peas. Ains showed no interest in the ice cream, but grabbed some peas when she was done with her peaches.

Hi. I just read (and very much enjoyed) your post about "unschooling food" on AlwaysUnschooled. I especially loved the idea of getting a little fridge just for the kids.

Thanks,

Sarah

Whatsa RUN group?
I *love* that Ains chose peas over ice cream. She's a girl after my own heart!

Um...what happened to your Seashells by the Seashore post? I see it in Google Reader but I can't get to it when I click on it...

Sarah, I just checked out your blog. Love it! You know, we wouldn't have thought of getting a little fridge, but having it given to us really was wonderful. If you can find an inexpensive one on Craigslist or something, it's wonderful. We don't use it anymore since both girls can get into the big fridge, but it was great when we used it.

Faye, I'm so glad you read here! This blog's primary purpose isn't a family blog, but it's so great when it allows family and friends to keep up with us.

Danni, I don't know what happened there, but I think I've got it fixed now. Weird.

Oh, Danni, forgot to answer your other question. RUN is Radical Unschoolers Network, an unschooler's forum. A discussion about what 'food independence' looks like in our houses is going on right now. It was easier to put the picture up here than on the forum.
